A Google study found that the key to healthy, productive teams is psychological safety, and the fastest way to build psychological safety is by supporting each other through challenging times. In the past two years, we’ve seen challenges like never before. Rates of stress, depression, and anxiety are skyrocketing; meanwhile, our communication skills are dwindling. According to a 2020 report, 80% of employees would be willing to leave their job if they found a more empathetic employer; 57% would take a pay cut to do so.
